FreeParkApp (“the app”) is operated by ALKAN STUDIOS LTD (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England & Wales (Company No. 17351835), registered office: Unit 29 Highcroft Industrial Estate, Enterprise Road, Horndean, Hampshire, PO8 0BT, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Contact: [email protected].
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
We use a small number of service providers to run FreeParkApp: Supabase (database and authentication — hosted in London, UK/eu-west-2), Vercel (application hosting), RevenueCat (subscription status management), Apple (payments and push notification delivery), Google (sign-in), Google Maps Platform (address geocoding and route planning), Mapbox (address search and routing), Transport for London (journey planning), postcodes.io (postcode lookup), Photon / komoot.io (address search), and OpenStreetMap tile servers (map display). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function — for example, a map tile server only receives the area of the map being displayed, never your identity.
Account data is kept while your account exists. Search history and parking feedback are kept in identifiable form only as long as needed for the purposes above, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Server logs are kept for a short rolling window.
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, and you can withdraw consent (e.g. turn off notifications) at any time. You can delete your account and associated data directly in the app (Account → Delete account) — deletion takes effect immediately. You can also email [email protected] from your account email and we will action the request within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Our primary data storage is in the United Kingdom. Where a provider processes data outside the UK/EEA, transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
We keep reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the Information Commissioner’s Office within 72 hours of becoming aware of it where required, and will inform affected users without undue delay where the risk is high.
FreeParkApp is a driving-related service and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We will post any changes to this policy here and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app.
